Frederick G. Bruno, Jr., 64, of Woodbridge, died on Monday, December 12, 2022, at his home in Woodbridge, NJ. Born in Elizabeth, Frederick was employed by Verizon in Manhattan for over 20 years. He was a gentle, loving, and devoted father to his beloved daughter. An avid Mets and NY Giants fan, he enjoyed NFL game days, exercising, rocking it at Wii sports, grilling, shopping at Costco to pack his fridge with snacks, and spending time with his family. Rick would often be found at family gatherings sporting his infamous blue tank top, telling funny stories, jokes, citing sports statistics and trying to get everyone to eat. He was an undisputed Pac- Man champion and loved all things ‘86 Mets. Family and friends loved him for his sense of humor, fun and generous nature. It was always an adventure to spend time with “uncle Ricky” for the holidays, Sunday game day, dinner or even an impromptu vacation!
Son of the late Frederick and Rena Baldwin Bruno, he is also predeceased by his sisters Stella, Renee, Christina, Angela, and Theresa Bruno. He is survived by his daughter Cheril Bruno; his wife Susie Bruno; his sisters and brother-in-law Marcia and Thomas Garitano, Elizabeth Wood, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2022 from 3 to 6pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation was private.
