Helen M. Britt Carroll

Helen M. Britt Carroll, 92, of South Amboy died on Thursday September 28, 2023 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in South Amboy, she lived there all her life. Before retiring she was employed by Amboy Madison Bank. She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy. She was a member of the St. Mary’s and South Amboy Senior Citizens and the Catholic Daughters. An avid fan of the New York Yankees, she enjoyed baking, cooking, reading and playing Bingo.

Daughter of the late James and Margaret Mulvey Britt she is also predeceased by her husband, George Carroll in 2008; her brother, James Britt and her sisters, Peggy Pappa and Annie Czujak. She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Gosford and her husband Vincent; her sons, Donald Carroll and his wife Diane and George Carroll and his wife Dina; her sister, Mary Ann Matarangolo, her grandchildren, Vincent Gosford and his wife Christine, Alicia Gosford and her fiancé Neil Gruber, Colleen Capri and her husband Daniel, Don Carroll and his wife Megan, Daniel Carroll and his wife Christina, Gavin Carroll and his wife Kristi, Michael Carroll and his wife Elizabeth, and Lauren Carroll; her great-grandchildren, Brianna and Isabella Capri, Lincoln Sreenivasan, Vinny and Shaun Gosford, Bryce, Aubrey, Everly, Logan, Willow, Raina, Mason, and Owen Carroll and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at 10:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by an 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Monday from 3 to 7pm.
