Helen M. Jacobus, 79, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.
Born on April 2, 1946, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Carolyn Post and Oscar Goble.
Helen was predeceased by her devoted husband of 60 years, Wallace “Brud” Jacobus, and her cherished daughter, Cheryl Jacobus.
She is survived by her loving son, Wally Jacobus; his fiancée, Karen Ferrier; and her beloved granddog, Maggie. She also leaves behind brothers, sisters and many beloved neices and nephews who brought her great joy throughout her life.
Helen worked for many years as a Pharmacy Technician at Carter’s Drugs before retiring. In retirement, she treasured spending time with her husband and family, creating countless memories with those she loved most.
She was an active member of the Laurence Harbor Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed the friendships and community it brought into her life. Helen found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—playing cards, attending bingo, and relaxing with a good book in her hammock.
Helen will be remembered as a loving, caring, and warm-hearted woman whose kindness touched everyone who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Private cremation services were held under the direction of The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
