Jack DeNichilo, 88 of South Amboy, entered into eternal rest on March 19, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.
Born in Molfetta, Italy on September 7, 1934, he was raised in Hoboken before moving to North Bergen and eventually settling in South Amboy. He was a retired Pump Engineer for IMTT of Bayonne, retiring in 1999.
Jack was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was an avid bowler and in his younger years was a league player, he loved to travel for leisure or to visit family boasting of trips to Australia, Argentina, London & Italy.
Proud of his Italian roots, Jack was a member of the Milan Soccer Club of Hoboken & the Italian American Association of Monmouth County. However most loved was time he spent with his family, his children & grandchildren. He was a man of honor.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie nee: DePalma (2016), devoted & caring father of Ann Marie and John Dolan, Grace & Raymond Diaz, Sergio & Pamela DeNichilo, Nicholetta & John Collura, and Jacqueline & Guido Morsella, cherished grandfather of Andrew & Rachel Collura, Nicholas Dolan, Gabriella Collura, Gianluca Morsella, Serena Collura, Davide Morsella, Lucia and Gianna DeNichilo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The Gundrum Service “Home for Funerals” 237 Bordentown Ave., South Amboy, NJ.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s of Ostrabrama Church, 30 Jackson St., South River, NJ. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Madonna Cemetery & Mausoleum, 2070 Hofrey’s Lane, Fort Lee, NJ.
