James Strzykalski

James Strzykalski, 41, of South Amboy died on Sunday February 15, 2026. Born in Perth Amboy he was employed as a DJ. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Helen Strzykalski, Patrick and Josephine Fitzsimmons and Uncle Robert Smith. He is survived by his parents John and Maureen Fitzsimmons Strzykalski; his brother and sister-in-law John and Alexandra Strzykalski; his aunt Anita Smith; his uncles Patrick Fitzsimmons and Joe Strzykalski and his wife Amy and many cousins and Bosco the dog.

James had a deep love for music and was happiest when he was DJing, sharing his talent and energy with everyone around him. Music was his way of connecting with people, bringing joy to gatherings, and creating memories that friends and family will always cherish.

James will be remembered for his spirit, his love of life, and the moments of laughter and connection he shared with those who loved him. To his family and friends, he was more than a son and friend — he was a presence that filled rooms with sound, warmth, and unforgettable moments.

He leaves behind his loving family and many friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.The family asks that James be remembered for the joy he brought through his music and the love he shared with those around him.Though his time with us was too short, the memories he created and the love he gave will never fade.

Funeral services will be held on Friday February 20, 2026 at 10am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the  First Presbyterian Church Food Pantry or South Amboy First Aid Squad.
