Janice Meyer Tedesco, 83, of South Amboy died on Monday September 27, 2021 at home. Born in Jersey City she lived in South Amboy, spending 30 years in North Palm Beach, Florida before returning to South Amboy. She was previously employed by South Amboy Hospital. A graduate of St. Mary’s High School, South Amboy she was a member of St. Mary’s Church, the Palm Beach Power Squadron and the Women’s Auxiliary of Power Squadron. She was very active on the board of Ports O’Call Condo Association in Florida.
Daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Reilly Meyer she is survived by her husband James Tedesco; her daughter Nancy Sikora and her husband George; her grandson Thomas Szot; her brother Henry Meyer and his wife Beverly; her nephews Herb, Brian and Mark Dudley; her niece Jennifer Heffernan; her stepsons Michael Tedesco and his wife Susan and Keith Tedesco and his wife Michele; her step-grandchildren Christopher and his wife Amy, Amy and her partner Kim, Thomas and Bryan and her great-grandchildren Christopher, Cassandra, Fletcher, Hunter, Caleigh, Kellan and Kade.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 2, 2021 at 9:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-7pm.
