Jeanne Menk Polinski, 88, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died on Tuesday February 8, 2022 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Elizabeth she was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, South Amboy and Seton Hall University. Jeanne was employed by St. Mary’s Elementary School before moving to the High School, later becoming Director of the Guidance Department and ultimately retiring in 2008 as Vice Principal. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church she was a former trustee of the parish as well as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed traveling the world, babysitting and spending time with her family most of all.
Daughter of the late Gordon and Helen Newman Menk she is also predeceased by her husband Raymond A. Polinski in 2002. She is survived by her daughters Cathy Polinski of Clermont, Florida and Cindy Burns and her husband Mike of Parlin; her sisters Barbara Skarzynski and Marilyn Martenak; her grandchildren Brian Burns and his wife Jacki, Kevin Burns and his wife Sandy and Colleen Noden and her husband Sean; her great-grandchildren Sean, Kate, Emma, Abby, Brea, Mikey and Colton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 12, 2022 at 9:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8pm.
