John Joseph Yavor

John Joseph “Jack” Yavor, 86, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died on Thursday July 13, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Perth Amboy he was employed by the United States Post Office, Fords before retiring. He was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Son of the late John and Margaret Harrigan Yavor he is survived by his wife Nancy Griffin Yavor; his daughters Theresa Crawford and her husband Jason and Kathleen Yavor; his granddaughters Rhiannon and Taryn Crawford; his sister Jean Toy and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday July 19, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Church, 256 Augusta Street, South Amboy followed by entombment in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning only from 10 to 10:30am in St. Mary’s Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home for Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
