John Anthony Zammit

John Anthony Zammit, 73, of Morgan died on Sunday July 14, 2024 at home. Born on the Island of Malta he grew up in Hoboken before settling in Morgan in 1975. A longtime member of Plumbers Local 14 he was the owner of J & A Plumbing and Heating. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy he was also a member of the Sanzari Marina and was the former vice president of the Morgan Athletic Association. He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.

Son of the late Carmen and Jean Grasso Zammit he is also predeceased by his wife Angela Michele Faccenda Zammit in 2022. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Charles and Stacey Zammit; his daughter and son-in-law Angela and Joseph Brereton; his sisters Eileen Donadio and Joyce DeStafano and his grandchildren Harrison and Cole Zammit, Alexis and Ilenia Brereton and Izzy and Owen Jensen.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday July 18, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 256 Augusta Street, South Amboy. Cremation was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
