Julia Sisolak Bozan

Julia Sisolak Bozan, 89, died on Tuesday June 20, 2023.  Born in South Amboy she lived in the Morgan section of Sayreville for most of her life before moving to Kentucky two years ago. Before retiring she was employed as a legal secretary for more than 40 years for George G. Kress, Esq. and then Gregory F. Kusic, Esq. of South Amboy.  Julia was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s R. C. Church, South Amboy and Pax Christi R.C. Church, Lexington.

Daughter of the late Michael and Jeanette Lizura Sisolak she is also predeceased by her beloved husband Alvin Vincent Bozan in 2019; her brothers Michael and Paul Sisolak and her sister Barbara Kielian. She is survived by her son Thomas Bozan and his wife Sharon of Texas; her daughters Diana Csimbok and her husband David of Morgan and Cindy Bozan of Kentucky; her brother Simon Sisolak and his wife Chris; her cats Patty and Lucy and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Julia was a creative, dynamic woman, who loved nature and all living creatures.  She cherished family vacations, gathering shells on the beach, watching birds feed from her many bird houses, and gardening. But her greatest love was her family, encouraging her children to pursue their dreams and showing them everything life could offer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 26, 2023 at 8:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 4pm.
