Katherine Sara Duffy

Katherine Sara Duffy, 77, of Freehold passed peacefully on Saturday August 20, 2022 at Jersey Shore University Hospital, Neptune surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Elizabeth she was previously employed by AT&T, Bell Labs and Lucent. Always willing to lend a hand, she volunteered her time to several organizations, most notably Pioneers of America and the Special Olympics. Kathy had a zest for life and always loved socializing with friends and family. She loved her extended family as much as her own with the same support and respect.

Daughter of the late Anthony and Helen McCloskey Duffy she is also predeceased by her son Anthony Kavity. She is survived by her husband Mitchell Savitsky; her children Jennifer Kowitski and her husband Andrew, Mitchell Savitsky and his wife Mandy and Eric Savitsky and his wife Jacqueline and her grandchildren Ava and Kendall Kowitski and Mitchell Savitsky.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 25, 2022 at 7:30pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s NJ.
