Kathleen Dooling Vigilante

Kathleen Dooling Vigilante, 68, of South Amboy died on Sunday January 14, 2024 at Roosevelt Care Center, Old Bridge. Born in Perth Amboy she was employed as the Municipal Clerk for the City of South Amboy until retiring in 2014 and also served as a committeewoman and Mayor’s secretary. She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy.

Daughter of the late Edward and Joan Keenan Dooling she is also predeceased her husband Joseph P. Vigilante in 2006. She is survived by her son Joseph E. Vigilante; her daughter Lisa Shymko; her brother Edward Dooling and his wife Doreen; her sister Patricia Shaw; her grandchildren Evan and Siobhan Shymko; her sisters-in-law Donna Vigilante and Marybeth Vigilante Flanagan and her husband Paul and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Friday January 19, 2024 at 9:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation.
