Kathleen A. Kriss Lovely

Kathleen A. Kriss Lovely, 81, of Manalapan died on Friday November 24, 2023 at Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Perth Amboy she moved to South Amboy in 1950 and settled in Morgan in 1968 before moving to Manalapan in 2020. Before retiring in 2002 she was employed by the New Jersey Highway Authority, Woodbridge for 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy, the Our Lady of Victories Senior Citizens and the Game Club at Covered Bridge. Kathy and Jim loved to travel around the world and explore new and exciting countries, in particular the Canary Islands. She loved to cruise, trying different martinis from every bar.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kovacs Kriss she is also predeceased by her son James P. Lovely in 2007. She is survived by her husband James B. Lovely; her daughters Kathleen Burns, her husband Robert and her son Samuel Patrick Lynch and Jessica Jennings, her husband Brian and her son Kristopher James Jennings and her brother Joseph A. Kriss and his wife Trina and their children

Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 30, 2023 at 9:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
