Kathleen A. Tilson Bello

Kathleen A. Tilson Bello, 70, of Hudson, Florida died on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Jersey City she attended Holy Rosary Academy in Union City. She married H. Alan Bello in 1972 and moved to South Amboy to raise their family. Kathy was active in Sacred Heart School and spent her summers at Frog Hollow Swim & Tennis Club. She loved the warm weather and considered herself lucky to have retired to Heritage Pines in Hudson, Florida. She traveled back to New Jersey whenever she could to visit her children and grandchildren. Kathy lived life to its fullest and made everyone around her enjoy it too. To know Kathy was to be her friend. She loved to play cards, Bingo and any game of chance. She absolutely loved college basketball and could be found watching multiple games during March Madness while talking on the phone. She enjoyed going on adventures with her sister and other friends she considered family.

Daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Alice Harnett Tilson she is survived by her daughter Carrie Bello Sarcone and her husband Joseph; her son James Bello and his wife Robyn; her sister Barbara Tilson Hughes and her husband Raymond; her grandchildren Kate and David Sarcone and Erika, Maggie and Griffin Bello and her former husband and friend H. Alan Bello.

A memorial service will be held on Monday January 25, 2021 at 6:15pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation was private. Memorial visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
