Kenneth L. Murphy, 78, of South Amboy was lifted to the heavens above with all the family’s prayers and love on Monday March 15, 2021. Ken served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966 during the Cuban Missile Crisis, mostly stationed in Alaska. He worked at Hercules in Parlin, like his father, as a plant electrician for many years. He was a member of the Melrose Blackhawks Drum & Bugle Corps.
He was predeceased by his parents Leo George Murphy in 1959 and his mother Margaret Murphy in 1966. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen Murphy; his sons Kevin Murphy of South Amboy and Kyle Murphy and his wife Erica of Kendall Park; his twin grandchildren Donovan and Kayla Murphy; his brother Donald Murphy and his wife Bobby of Colonia; his cousin Marie Strawn; nieces and nephews and family in Onset, Massachusetts.
Cremation was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
