Leon Victor Litwinski, Jr., 60, entered into rest on Wednesday June 19, 2019.
Mr. Litwinski is a native of South River/Spotswood, New Jersey having made Beech Island, South Carolina his home for the past 12 years. He graduated from East Brunswick Vo-Tech High School and later married his high school sweetheart whom he met on September 7, 1977. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany as a Russian Linguist. During his service to his country he was part of many top secret missions, one of which helped save the life of President Ronald Reagan. Mr. Litwinski worked at Schweitzer-Mauduit International, Inc., Spotswood for 26 years while owning and operating his own business, LeVel Home Improvements. And later opened and operated LvL & Sons Transportation, Inc. He was a true family man and loved family trips, yearly summer vacations, watching movies with his family, and eating pizza. Leon was the life of the party and had a quick wit, a true wizard, always finding humor in situations regardless of the challenge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Sarah Litwinski.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years and high school sweetheart, Joanne Patuchinea Litwinski; four sons, Leon Victor (Christine) Litwinski, III, Michael Joseph (Kelli) Litwinski, Richard Allen (Brandy) Litwinski, Maxmillian Johnathan (DeLaney) Litwinski; two daughters, Lisa Marie (Anthony) Palmieri and Sarah-Jane Ann (Kyle) Todd; 13 grandchildren, Alexandria, Isabella, Rebecca, Leon IV, Lia Marie, Joshua, Richard Jr., Kaiden, Donivan, Savannah, Brianna, Francis-Jane and Joseph; a sister, Maryann (Steven) Dancsecs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday June 28, 2019 at 9am at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment will be in Brig. Gen. W.C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of your choosing.
