Leonilia Santos Le

Leonilia Le, 83, of South Amboy died on Friday June 6, 2025 at Center for Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains. Born in Lisbon, Portugal she lived in Mineola, New York, South Amboy and Mooresville, North Carolina before settling in South Amboy. An amazing cook, she enjoyed sewing and listening to music. She was employed as a seamstress in Manhattan for 37 years. She was a member of the Portuguese Sporting Club, Perth Amboy.

Daughter of the late Paulo and Maria-Jose Oliveira Santos she is also predeceased by her husband Antonio Le. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ligia and Ryan Wilde; her son Joao Paulo Le; her sister Maria Luz Amaral; her grandchildren Valentina and Sebastian Le and her daughter-in-law Maria Le.

Cremation was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to aplastic anemia research and treatment.
