Lois Neill Morriss

Lois Neill Morriss, 95, of South Amboy was called home to the Lord on Sunday May 30, 2021 at the Venetian Care & Rehabilitation Center, South Amboy. Born in South Amboy she lived there all her life. She was employed by South Amboy Trust Company before retiring as Vice President and Branch Manager of First Fidelity, South Amboy. A member of the First Baptist Church of Matawan she was a lover of animals and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with her friend Ann Henry. She was a member and longtime treasurer of the Rotary Club of South Amboy/Sayreville.

Daughter of the late Hallack and Leila Neill she is also predeceased by her husband of 47 years Robert F. Morriss in 2004; her son Hallack Joshua Morriss and her sister Jean Neill. She is survived by her nephew Richard Dobrzynski and his wife Joan of Sayreville, a host of nieces and nephews and her dearest friends the Henry children, Fred, Sister Carol Ann, RSM, Lynn and Bill.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 5, 2021 at 10am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by interment in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8pm.
