Luanne V. Cleary Nowak

Luanne V. Cleary Nowak, 64, of South Amboy died on Friday April 23, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in the Bronx she lived in Old Bridge before settling in South Amboy and Barnhart, Missouri. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Somerset Hospital. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy and St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Imperial, Missouri she enjoyed baking, cooking and taking care of family and friends. She loved shopping, finding deals for others and taking care of her rescue dogs and grand-dogs.

Daughter of the late Thomas and Virginia Brooks Cleary she is also predeceased by her son Stacy Gary Nowak in 2011. She is survived by her husband Gary Nowak; her sons Jonathan Nowak of California, Timothy Nowak and his wife Farishta of Edison and Matthew Nowak and his wife Nicole of Wantagh; her siblings Thomas Cleary, Jr., Suzanne Cleary Drews and her husband Michael and Robert Cleary; her 3 rescue dogs Buddy, Stasha and Toby and several nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at 8:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Sayreville. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the ASPCA.
