Marie C. Colucci Kusic

Marie C. “Red” Colucci Kusic, 99, of South Amboy died on Thursday August 11, 2022 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in South Amboy she lived there all her life. She was previously employed by E.I. DuPont and Macy’s. A member of St. Mary’s R. C. Church, South Amboy she was a collection counter and a member of both Helping Hands and the Food Pantry. A member of the South Amboy and St. Mary’s Senior Citizens she enjoyed Friday night card games with friends and family. Marie loved family and get-togethers. She was always available to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Every son and daughter-in-law had a special birthday meal on their day.

Daughter of the late Rocco and Elizabeth Vaglio Colucci she is also predeceased by her husband of 66 years Stanley J. “Buff” Kusic in 2012 and her siblings Gertrude, William, Michael, Pasquale and Joseph. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Paul and Denise Kusic, Greg and Elaine Kusic, Stanley Rocco and Susan Kusic and Jeffrey and Laura Kusic; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 13, 2022 at 11am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by an 11:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin. Visitation will be on Saturday morning only from 9 to 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Food Pantry, 256 Augusta Street, South Amboy.
