Marie Hilda Samuelson

Marie Hilda Samuelson, 88, of Sayreville died on Saturday May 22, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in South Amboy she lived there all her life. She was previously employed by Charles E. Komar & Son, South Amboy and by the City of South Amboy as the driver of the Senior Citizens Bus. A lifelong member of Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy she was an avid fan of the New York Mets and enjoyed playing Bingo and trips to Atlantic City. She was a talented seamstress.

Daughter of the late George and Josephine Distel Samuelson she is also predeceased by her brothers George and John W. Samuelson and her sisters Helen Stolte and Claire Danielczyk. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday May 28, 2021 at 9:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10am Requiem Eucharist at Christ Episcopal Church. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 to 9pm.
