Mary C. Verchick Flagg

Mary C. Verchick Flagg, 62, of South Amboy passed on Monday July 15, 2019 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Newark she loved arts and crafts, making bows, makeup, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be missed dearly. She found pleasure in calling and talking to her children multiple times a day. She would never hang up the phone without saying “I love you”.

Daughter of the late John and Maureen Riley Verchick she is also predeceased by her son Joseph M. Flagg; her brother John Verchick and her sister Belinda Gallucci. She is survived by her husband Russell E. Flagg; her sons Russell J. Flagg and his girlfriend Janine Mezger and Ryan Flagg and his wife Christine; her daughters Jessica Flagg and her fiancé Marcus Arrington, Rebecca Flagg and her fiancé Ralph Lengyel, III and Danielle Flagg; her sister Jennifer Baker and her husband Tom; her daughter-in-law Josephina Kay; her 14 grandchildren Cora, Russell, Clhoey, Joseph, Alyure, Emmanuel, Scottie, Kai, Kruz, Karter, Skylar, Ralph, Wesley and Kaylee and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 21, 2019 at 2:30pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 3pm. In lieu of flowers you may send a donation to the family or a card with your best memory of Mary to the funeral home.
