Michael F. Addesso

Michael F. Addesso, 59, of Keyport, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. Born in Newark, Michael was a highly skilled and respected mechanic who took great pride in his work. He was previously employed by Town Tire and Julian’s Garage, where his expertise, dedication, and wry sense of humor earned him the trust and appreciation of customers and colleagues alike. Michael had a true talent for understanding engines and could fix just about anything with patience and precision.

Outside of work, Michael found his greatest happiness with his wife of over twenty years, Ellen, and connecting with his children and grandchildren whom he loved deeply. Being a grandpa was one of his life’s greatest joys. He also enjoyed fishing, crabbing, boating, and rebuilding vintage trucks—pastimes that reflected both his love of the water and his lifelong passion for mechanics. He will be missed by family, lifelong friends near and far, and neighbors alike.

Son of the late Francis Addesso and Maria Camacho Addesso, he is also predeceased by his son Michael F. Addesso, Jr. and his sister-in-law Sandy Jensen. He is survived by his wife Ellen Hoyberg Addesso; his daughters Michelle Davenport and her husband Nicholas, Maryellen Noland and her husband Christopher, Allison Haas and her husband David and Samantha Rovillos; his brothers Alden Camacho and Alberto Camacho and his wife Ester; his sisters Jeannette Jensen and Joanna and Deanna Camacho; his grandchildren TJ, James, Maria, Raevyn, William, Todd and Delaney and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
