Mildred C. McGovern Kelly, 97, of Parlin died on Tuesday September 12, 2023 at home. Born in Newark she was a member of the VFW 7508 Auxiliary, Old Bridge and the Military Order of the Cooties Auxiliary 39.
Daughter of the late James and Mae Ward McGovern she is also predeceased by her husband Edward H. “Mickey” Kelly in 1999 and her sons Edward Kelly in 1973 and Michael Kelly in 2021; her brother James McGovern and her sister Evelyn Ross. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Stark and Patricia Kelly; her grandchildren Wayne Stark, Shannon Merwin, Ricci Pires and AJ Angotti; her great-grandchildren Connor and Dillon Stark, Emily and Joshua Pires and Shyann, Patricia and Michaela Timms and her goddaughter Colleen McCauley
Interment in Christ Church Cemetery was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
