Natalie Kaczmarek Laikowski, 84, of Parlin died on Monday June 2, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, New York she settled in the Parlin section of Sayreville. An active member of St. Mary R.C. Church, South Amboy she served as an Extraordinary Minister and Lector, volunteered with the Food Pantry and previously volunteered with Helping Hands and Youth Ministry. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Seniors and the Sayreville Thursday Club. An excellent cook, she enjoyed reading and knitting and traveling the world with Steve.
Daughter of the late William and Mary Sharko Kaczmarek she is also predeceased by her brother Thomas Kaczmarek in 1999. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Deacon Stephen Laikowski; her daughters Vickie Casey and Donna Krauss and her husband Eric and also her grandchildren Christy Casey and Justin and Randy Krauss.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 7, 2025 at 9:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 3 to 7pm. Flowers are not requested. Instead, please honor Natalie’s legacy of service by making a contribution to the St. Mary Food Pantry, 256 Augusta Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879.
