Patricia Mary Wenzel Lewis

Patricia Mary Wenzel Lewis, 83, of Ocean Grove died on Monday October 21, 2024 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in South Amboy, and raised her four children there.  She had a successful career in sales, selling everything from medical products to real estate. In 1993 she moved to the Jersey Shore, living in Spring Lake Heights, then Ocean Grove.  Pat loved walking the boardwalk and was a fixture on the porch in Ocean Grove, chatting with everyone as they passed.  She was a great cook and hostess, and everyone was always welcome in her home.  Pat was also a competitive ballroom dancer, and loved gardening, baking, and animals. She adored her cat Viola, and was always feeding the birds and the squirrels. 

Pat is the daughter of the late Victor and Mary Kaboski Wenzel and was predeceased by her sister Rosemary Downs and her brother Victor Wenzel, Jr. She is survived by her sister Judy Mollicone, and children Angela Margl, Joseph and Joyce Check, Susan Check and Beth Staub and M. Theresa Craig, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday October 28, 2024 at 10:30am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by an 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Monday morning only from 9:30 to 10:30am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
