Raymond Stephen Tomaszewski

Raymond Stephen “Butch” Tomaszewski, 88, of South Amboy died on Saturday January 13, 2024 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in South Amboy he lived there all his life. Before retiring he was employed as a teacher and varsity coach at South Amboy High School. A member of Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy he was also a member of the Lions Club, the Monmouth University Alumni, and the South Amboy Housing Authority.

Son of the late Stella and Stephen Tomaszewski he is survived by his wife Joyce Coan Tomaszewski; his daughter and son-in-law Jaclyn and Christopher Tinney; his granddaughter, his pride and joy,  Audrey and many very close nieces, nephews and friends.

A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated on Thursday January 18, 2024 at 11am at Christ Episcopal Church, 220 Main Street, South Amboy followed by entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, Keyport. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3 to 7pm at The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
