Robert Daniel Carroll, Sr.

Robert Daniel Carroll, Sr., 96, of Edison died on Thursday June 6, 2024 at home. Born in Brooklyn, New York he was previously employed by Colgate. A veteran of the United States Army and Navy he enjoyed spending his time traveling. He was beloved by all his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Son of the late William and Virginia Meade Carroll he is also predeceased by his sons Robert D. Carroll, Jr. in 2008 and John K. Carroll in 2021; his brothers Kenneth and Charles Carroll; his sister Virginia Strafford and his former wife Janet D. Foley Carroll. He is survived by his wife June Mercer Carroll; his son Brian Carroll; his daughters Christine M. Carroll and her husband Jeffrey Schreiber and Lisa M. Carroll Neff and her husband Fred; his brother Dennis Carroll; his grandson Joey Derogatis; his stepdaughter Melinda Mercer and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 11, 2024 at 6:30pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 to 7pm.
