Robert Luke Noble, Jr., 56, of South Amboy died on Wednesday November 1, 2023 at University Hospital, Newark. Born in South Amboy he lived there all his life. He was employed by the New Jersey Transit Police, Newark after working for the Carpenters’ Union Local 65. A 1985 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, South Amboy, he was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church and served as Captain of Protection Fire Company, South Amboy in 1994. He was a founding member of the Office of Emergency Management for the NJ Transit Police. Robert was an instructor at TEEX at Texas A&M and served on USAR State Task Force 1, in addition to serving as State Delegate for the PBA and then the FOP.

Son of the late Robert L. Noble he is also predeceased by his father-in-law Joseph Spencer in July. He is survived by his wife Joanne Spencer Noble; his daughters Emma, Beth Anne and Rory Noble; his mother Claire McKeon Noble; his brothers Timothy Noble and Angela Arnold, Paul Noble and Brian Noble and his wife Amy; his sister Christine Noble; his mother-in-law Lois Spencer and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday November 6, 2023 at 11am at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 256 Augusta Street South Amboy followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 6pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178
