Robert Williams

Robert Williams, 85, of South Amboy died on Friday March 15, 2024 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in South Amboy he lived in Marlboro and Browns Mills before returning to South Amboy in 2007. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Son of the late Earl and Anne O’Brien Williams he is also predeceased by his wife Annette Quirion Williams in 2003; his brother-in-law Russell Stillwagon; his cousin Mary Wilson and his fiancée Edy Hanmore. He is survived by his sister Virginia Stillwagon; his nephews Ron and Bobby Stillwagon; his cousins Louise Gray, Patricia Sasso, Jimmy Wilson and Joe Wiessenburger; Edy’s children Patty and Dave and his longtime friend Ron Rufner. A special thank you to his neighbors at McCarthy Towers, and also many thanks to all at Perth Amboy Hospital.

Cremation and interment in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery was private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
