Ronald Naso, 62, of Laurence Harbor, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Originally from Union, New Jersey, Ronald was a dedicated member of Ironworkers Local 11 in Newark for over 40 years, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and pride in his craft.
Ronald’s life was a celebration of adventure, the outdoors, and the simple pleasures that brought him joy. An avid fisherman and truck enthusiast, he treasured the friendships he built with those who shared his passions. As a former president of the Staten Island 4 Wheel Drive Club, Ronald’s leadership and enthusiasm inspired others. He later founded the Swamp Rats 4 Wheel Drive Club, creating a community where camaraderie and a love for the outdoors thrived.
A kind and gentle soul, Ronald’s deep love for animals was evident in the care and compassion he showed them. He valued the bonds he shared with both people and pets, leaving behind countless cherished memories.
Predeceased by his beloved mother, Gail Burkhardt Naso, Ronald’s legacy of love endures through his devoted fiancée, Lorraine Sklodowsky; his father, Ronald Naso, and his wife, Mickey; his uncle and aunt, Alan and Mary Ellen Naso; and his cousins, Joanna Beach and her husband, Randy, and Alan Naso.
Family and friends are invited to honor Ronald’s life during visitation on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals,” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 PM.
In accordance with Ronald’s wishes, cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to K9s For Warriors, celebrating Ronald’s compassionate and generous spirit.
