Rose Scheid

Rose Scheid, 99, of Parlin died on Saturday October 15, 2022 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Newark she lived in Belleville before moving to Parlin. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, South Amboy she was also a member of the church choir. She loved music and singing, and was a member of the Golden Agers singing group.

Daughter of the late Elizabeth Clark Kramer she is also predeceased by her husband Walter Scheid; her brother Joseph Kramer; her sister Marion Gregor and her son-in-law Gary Mihok. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Shelley Scheid; her daughter Sandra Mihok; her grandchildren Stacy Lilienkamp and Casey, Dennis and Kevin Scheid; her great-grandchildren Michael Canzano and his wife Alivia, Bailey and Jack Lilienkamp, Jacob Colon and Johsua and Celeste Scheid and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 20, 2022 at 9:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10:30am service at Trinity United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
