Ruth A. Macknowski Kascin, 67, of Parlin died on Saturday April 26, 2025 at Roosevelt Care Center, Old Bridge. Born in Elizabeth she was previously employed by St. Mary’s Religious Education, South Amboy and St. Cecelia’s Religious Education, Iselin. A member of St. Mary’s Church, she was also an Extraordinary Minister. She and her husband enjoyed going to car shows, and ran the Classic Knights Car Club.
Daughter of the late John and Catherine Mackowski she is also predeceased by her sister Dorothy Pilot in 2011. She is survived by her husband Robert Kascin, Sr.; her sons Michael Kascin and Robert, Jr. and his husband John LoGrasso; her daughter Lauren Kascin and her partner David South; her brother John Macknowski; her grandchildren Benjamin, Penelope and Emily and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday May 2, 2025 at 9:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy. Interment will be in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Parents of Autistic Children.
