Shawn Dexter

Shawn Dexter, 41, of South Amboy died on Friday December 5, 2025. Born in Perth Amboy he was a lifelong resident of South Amboy. Shawn was an avid sports fan always rooting for the Raiders. He enjoyed camping, traveling, movies, cars and board games. Above all else he loved his dogs and caring for other’s dogs and opening his home as Dexter’s Dog House, where he trained and boarded dogs.

Son of the late Michael Kordulak and JoAnne C. Dexter VanAllen he is survived by his sisters Katie Mastromonaco and her husband Anthony, and Shannon VanAllen; his good friends, Jim and Shannon Waselus and his nieces and nephew Madison, Bridget and AJ.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 9, 2025 from 4 to 7pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society, Tinton Falls.
