Shawn John Switzer, 66, of Monroe died on Thursday August 17, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in South Amboy he was employed by the Middlesex County Utilities Authority until retiring. He was a member of House of Mercy Missions.
Son of the late William and Lillian Litka Switzer he is also predeceased by his siblings Anna Fiore, Lillian Horbatt, Eugene Switzer and his wife Barbara, William Switzer, and Robert, Michael, Keith and Patrick Switzer; his nephews Eugene and Jason Switzer and Timothy Moglia and his brothers-in-law Stanley Zakrzewski and Domenic Santucci. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Norine Croddick Switzer; his children James Switzer, Lauren Switzer, Julia Brandon and her husband Kyle and Jonathan Switzer and his wife Adalysse; his sisters Linda Zakrzewski, Eileen Zonkowski and her husband Tom, Colleen Santucci, Marlene Moglia and her husband Bob and Erin Koller and her husband Bill; his grandchildren Elijah, Mirra, Camila, Donovan, Brody, Liliana and Prescott and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 23, 2023 at 8:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
