Stanley M. Kokoszka, 95, of Galloway entered into eternal life on Monday May 8, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Helmetta he lived in South Amboy before moving to Galloway in 2009. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II he was a former member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Amboy and a member of Mother Seton R.C. Church, Galloway. Before retiring in 1997 he was employed by Sterling Edison for 50 years. An avid fan of Rutgers Football he loved his family above all else.
Son of the late Leon and Nellie Wolenski Kokoszka he is also predeceased by his wife Dorothy Durski Kokoszka in 2013; his brothers John, Gene and Joseph Kokoszka and his sisters Adele Oldzej, Celia Pryzyblko and Julie Holinko. He is survived by his son Kenneth Kokoszka and his wife Nancy of Red Bank; his daughters Sharon Kurtz of Galloway and Denise Trainor and her husband John of South Amboy; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; his dear friend Connie Fugere and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday May 13, 2023 at 8am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9am Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
