Tara Elizabeth Keegan

Tara Elizabeth Keegan, 34, of Point Pleasant, NJ died on August 31.  She was the youngest child of James and Kathleen Keegan. Raised in Wall Twp she graduated from Wall High School in 2006. Tara was a self-taught chef and opened her own juice bar and cafe in 2015 called Tara Lu's in downtown Point Pleasant Beach. She developed a loyal following of customers, who often became clients and friends. In 2016 her greatest accomplishment was born. Her daughter, Ava May Spinelli was the light of Tara's life and they spent countless days together riding bikes, paddleboarding, building sand castles at Riverfront Park in Point and building imaginary doll and animal worlds at their home on River Rd. Eventually, Tara became the chef at her brother’s company, Solar Landscape in Asbury Park, preparing meals for the entire office staff each day. She was always proud to share her latest recipes and loved each of the unique and talented people she fed.  

Tara was a funny, creative, soulful person. She was considered the funniest of her siblings and cousins and most likely to entertain the little ones. She loved making people smile…and hers was contagious and beautiful. 

Tara is predeceased by her father, James Edward.  She is survived by her 6 year old daughter Ava May Spinelli, her mother Kathleen, her grandmother Janet Dunshee-Baldwin, her brothers James (Jen), Brian (Megan), and Shaun (Isabella), her sister Katelyn Gold (Dan) and all their children. She is also loved and missed by her many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation was private. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
