It is with deep sadness that the Zientek family announces the passing of their mother, Theresa Delesandro Zientek 92 of Sayreville, NJ. Theresa passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Marlboro. She was born and raised in Highland Park and the youngest of four children. Theresa resided in Sayreville for 60-years where she raised her family. She was Vice President of the family-owned business Lov’n Kare Carpet, South Amboy, NJ. Theresa was a woman of strong faith; prominent member of St Bernadette’s R.C. Church where she enjoyed attending mass daily and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Theresa was a bowler, an avid reader, and enjoyed watching tennis, listening to music, playing cards, and going to Bingo.
Daughter of the late John and Anna Delesandro. Theresa is predecessed by her husband John Zientek; her son John M., her grandson John M. Phelan and her son-in-law Michael K. Phelan; a brother and two sisters. She is survived by her sons Mark Zientek and his wife Lynn and Thomas Zientek and his wife Diane; her daughters Donna Blaszka and her husband Mark, Dianne Phelan and Debora Zientek; her grandchildren Michelle Keyso, her husband Jim and son Andrew, Michael Phelan, his wife Pamela and sons Michael and Jack, Jennifer Lucas, and husband Tyler, MatthewBlaszka, his wife Cheyenne and daughter Mila, Theresa Wasnak, Laurie Decker, her husband Dan and children Hailey, Ethan and Lincoln, Kristina Johnson, her husband Greg and children Emerson and Josephine, Mark Zientek Jr., Christopher Blaszka, and wife Stephanie, Ruthanne Zientek, John-Christian Zientek, and Teressa Zientek.
All are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday January 7, 2022 at 11am at St. Bernadette Church, 20 Villanova Road, Parlin followed by entombment in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, South Amboy. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness.
