Thomas V. “TV” Connor, 88, of South Amboy died on Friday November 5, 2021 at home. Born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania he lived in South Amboy for 60 years. Before retiring in 1999 he was employed by General Motors in Linden for 40 years and then became a Crossing Guard for the City of South Amboy from 2000 to 2019. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy he also volunteered at the St. Mary Food Pantry.
Son of the late Michael and Anna Connor he is also predeceased by his wife Mary L. Sullivan Connor in 2018; his brothers James and John Connor and his sisters Cathryn Counsman and Patricia Farese. He is survived by his sons Timothy Connor and his wife Brenda of Point Pleasant and Michael Connor of Keyport; his daughters Cathryn Scupp and her husband Kevin of Perth Amboy and Margaret Boretzky and her husband Stephen of Hudson, Florida; his grandchildren Alex, Zachary, Patrick, Sean, Dana and Jennifer and her husband Josh and his great-granddaughter Brylee.
Entombment in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum is private under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Food Pantry, 256 Augusta Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879.
