Thomas E. Holovacko, 75, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died on Thursday April 24, 2025 at home. Born in Perth Amboy he was employed by Hercules, Parlin for 37 years before retiring in 2009. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy he was involved with St. Mary’s Youth Basketball and was the High School bowling coach, in addition to coaching Little League. He was a member of the Professional Bowling Association.
Son of the late James and Rose Francy Holovacko he is survived by his wife Sandra Buckalew Holovacko; his sons Thomas E. Holovacko, Jr. and his wife Christina and Jesse Holovacko; his brothers James P. Holovacko and his wife Maryann and Michael J. Holovacko and his wife Angela; his sister Rose Cieslarczyk; his grandchildren Lacey, Thomas, III, Ryan, Charley and Bobby; Sandy’s siblings Denise Macholl, Jackie Braun and her husband Donald, Marie Bouthillette and her husband Bob and John Buckalew and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday May 1, 2025 at 9:30am at St. Mary’s Church, 256 Augusta Street. Cremation was private. Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Mary’s Food Pantry and mailed to the church.
