Thomas "Bob" R. Heroy

Thomas R. “Bob” Heroy, 87, of South Amboy died on Friday February 14, 2020 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Plainfield he lived in Metuchen and Edison before settling in South Amboy. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed sports and the outdoors.

Son of the late Raymond Thomas and Alyce Holt Heroy he is also predeceased by his son Ronald Heroy in 1982. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Richard and Nancy Heroy of Toms River; his sister and brother-in-law Diane and George Farinick of Ormond Beach, Florida; his grandchildren Tracy Burczyk and her husband Robert of Toms River and Gregory Heroy and his wife Audrey of Ocean Gate; his great-granddaughter Ava Heroy; 2 nephews and 1 niece.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 19, 2020 from 3 to 7pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity in his name.
