Timothy J. White, 84, of Parlin died on Monday November 15, 2021 at home. Born in Hell’s Kitchen, New York he was a lifelong resident of Parlin. He was a member of St. Bernadette R.C. Church, Parlin, a member and Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 8478 and a life member and former president of the Madison Park Fire Department. A veteran of the U.S. Army 187th Infantry “Rakkasans” Airborne Division, he attended Baruch College and was employed by McGraw-Hill, New York City.
Son of the late John and Helen Brophy White he is also predeceased by his wife Joan M. Mare White in 2019; his brothers John and James and his sister Maureen Hoover. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Donna and Jim Midgley, Debbie and Tim Byler and Kelly and Ed Sherman; his brothers Billy, Steve and Joseph; his sisters Sheila and Ann; his grandchildren Dr. Tim Byler and his wife Melissa, Erik Byler and his wife Carla, Jim Midgley and Kourtney and Amanda Sherman and his great-grandchildren Austin, Andrew, Arianna, Matthew, Gregory, Cyrus and Spencer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday November 19, 2021 at 8:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8pm.
