Veronica Craney McGloan

Veronica Craney McGloan, 67, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died on Friday October 20, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Perth Amboy she began her career as a beautician in Roosevelt Care Center, later transferring to the Middlesex County Area Transportation to drive a bus for the elderly and disabled until retiring in 2016 after 30 years of service. A member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy she was a baker, chocolatier, lighthouse enthusiast and avid collector of American Girl dolls and Snow Babies. She was an animal lover and a Girl Scout leader for many years.

Daughter of the late Thomas Craney and Mary Frame Morvay she is also predeceased by her husband Donald W. McGloan, Sr. in 2002; her brother Thomas Joseph Craney in 1976 and her sister M. Sharon Craney Kirkman in 2006. She is survived by her fiancé Ronald A. Lovely of Morgan; her son and daughter-in-law Donald W. McGloan, Jr. and Michelle of Howell; her daughter and son-in-law Denise Bruno and Paul of Old Bridge; her brother-in-law Thomas Kirkman; 4 grandchildren Donald McGloan, III, Erin Bruno, Owen McGloan and Jeremy McGloan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 26, 2023 at 10:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by an 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8pm.
