Viktoria Luczka Mierzwiak

Viktoria Luczka Mierzwiak, 82, of South Amboy died on Tuesday December 4, 2018 at home. Born in Sanok, Poland she lived in South Amboy for nearly 50 years. Before retiring she was employed by the South Amboy Board of Education for 25 years.

Daughter of the late Jan and Stanislawa Sliwiak Luczka she is also predeceased by her husband Mieczslaw “Matty” Mierzwiak in 2012, her grandson Michael Tyler Mierzwiak in 2006, her brothers Stanislaw and Wladyslaw Luczka and her sisters Julia Buczek and Stefania Jaslowska. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Roman and Beverly Mierzwiak, Chris and Ewa Mierzwiak and Thomas and Mary Ellen Mierzwiak; her grandchildren Thomas, Steven, Christopher, Brian, Samantha and Thomas, Jr. and her sisters Janina Kiper and Krystyna Pierozak.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 7, 2018 at 10:15 am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by an 11am Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin. Visitation will be on Thursday (today) from 5 to 8pm.
