Vincent J. “Vinnie” Sendziak, Jr., 73, of South Amboy died on Sunday July 3, 2022 at home. Born in Somerville he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 0324, Edison as well as the Disabled American Veterans. He was employed by Metuchen Builders, Blackstone Lumber, Builders 1st Source and Madison Township Lumber and Supply before retiring. He was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Amboy. Vinnie enjoyed playing the lottery and reading the Home News Tribune.
Son of the late Vincent and Zofia Puchacz Sendziak he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Vincent, III and Jennifer Sendziak; his daughter Denise Sendziak and Robert Hutchinson; his sisters and brothers-in-law Josephine and James Forestiere and Jean and Bert Kovach; his grandchildren Ryan Vincent Hutchinson and Alyssa Kaylee Sendziak and Jonathan Vincent Sendziak; his longtime companion Connie Liotti and several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2022 at 9:15am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warrior Project.
