Wanes Jarkezian

Wanes “Pops” Jarkezian, 92, of Bayville died on Saturday August 7, 2020 at home. Born in Homs, Syria he was an entrepreneur and photographer for Marcel Studios. He served in the army. A member of St. Stepanos Armenian Church, Long Branch, he loved to take pictures and spend time on the boardwalk in Planet Candy.
Son of the late Berdros and Lucy Jarkezian he is also predeceased by his wife Abro “April” Tahanian Jarkezian in 2016. He is survived by his sons Vic Jarkezian and his wife Marisa of Forked River, Roger Jarkezian and his wife Michelle of Pelican Island and Peter Jarkezian of Seaside Heights; his grandchildren Hovig and his wife Rita, Linda and her husband Shawn, Ariel, Gabrielle, Alex and Sophia and his great-grandson Lucas.
Visitation will be on Tuesday August 10, 2021 from 8:30 to 9:30am at St. Stepanos Armenian Church, 1184 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch followed by a 9:30am Divine Liturgy. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy.
