William Hugh “Billy” Conlin, 80, of South Amboy died on Friday July 21, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Ohio he was previously employed by London Terrace Apartments. An avid fan of the New York Yankees he enjoyed playing scratch off lottery games and car detailing.

Son of the late Joseph and Genevieve Nixon Conlin he is also predeceased by his sisters Lynn Volpe and Nancy Kennedy. He is survived by his nieces Kim Sakr and her husband Nabig, Janet Kennedy and her husband Wilson and Sandy Viscido; his nephews Jack Kennedy and his wife Cynthia, Bobby Volpe and his wife Christine and Frank Viscido; his brother-in-law Bob Volpe and many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 27, 2023 at 10am at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by interment in Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
