William F. Reilly, 91, of South Amboy passed peacefully on Monday January 23, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in South Amboy he was employed by JCP&L until retiring. A graduate of Hoffman High School he previously attended St. Mary’s High School, South Amboy. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps he was a member of the American Legion Luke A. Lovely Post 62, South Amboy, St. Mary’s R.C. Church and the South Amboy Boat Club.
Son of the late William and Elizabeth Manion Reilly he is also predeceased by his wife Patricia C. Leiss Reilly in 2015; his daughter Patricia Reilly and his sister Jean Reilly Render. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law William P. and Joanne Reilly of Marlboro and Joseph J. and Farrah Reilly of Monroe; his grandchildren Brian, Kevin, Kellyann, Grace and Joseph and his nieces Karen, Barbara, Lori and Barbara.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 28, 2023 at 8:45am from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel To Towers Foundation.
