Winifred A. Brady Nevin

Winifred A. “Winnie” Brady Nevin, 83, of Morgan died peacefully on Wednesday December 7, 2022 with her family at her side. Born in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania she was a longtime resident of the Morgan section of Sayreville. She was previously employed by NY Bell Telephone as a secretary, a crossing guard for the Borough of Sayreville and the business office of Middlesex County Vo-Tech. A member of St. Lawrence R.C. Church, Laurence Harbor she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, as well as a member of the Morgan Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

Daughter of the late John M. and Margaret McNey Brady she is also predeceased by her husband Arthur E. Nevin, Sr. in 1999; her brothers John, Michael and Bernard Brady and her sisters Helen Dussel, Marita Baragiano, Margaret Brady and Alice Horn Sharp. She is survived by her sons Arthur E. Nevin, Jr. and his wife Donna of Monroe and Kenneth J. Nevin of South Amboy; her daughter Margaret Nevin Berger and her husband Douglas of Manalapan; her brother Martin Brady; her sister Lucille Cuneo; her grandchildren Jessica Conley and her husband Kevin, Mark and Garrett Nevin and Matthew and Paul Berger; her great-granddaughter Courtney Makayla Smith and her bonus great-grandchildren Brook, Natalie and Jake Conley. 

A 9am Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday December 13, 2022 at St. Lawrence Church, 109 Laurence Parkway, Laurence Harbor followed by interment in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8pm at The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Flowers are not requested; in lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
